An Online training on Basic Microbiology Techniques will be organised by Biotechnology Research Institute (BRI), Universiti Malaysia Sabah on this day. This training is part of the project on Establishing a Culture Collection of Bacteria from Marine and Conservation Sites of Sabah for Compounds with Industrial and Medical Applications, a collaboration project of SaBC with BRI. This training is mainly for SaBC's staff.   

Content of Training: 

• Basic microbiology techniques 
• Microbiology media, sterilization, inoculation, incubation. 
• Equipment briefing 
• Autoclave, types of biosafety cabinet, laminar air flow cabinet, Microscope, Bacterial storage at -80ºC
