The ASEAN Bioethics Seminar 2025, organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI) in collaboration with co-organizers Universiti Malaysia Sabah, National institute of Biotechnology Malaysia (NIBM), Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM), and the Sabah State Governement via Sabah Biodiversity Centre (SaBC) will be held on 9–10 September 2025 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This seminar will gather experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from across ASEAN to explore the ethical implications of emerging technologies, covering areas such as genomics, artificial intelligence, health innovation, sustainability, and responsible data use, with the goal of fostering regional cooperation and strengthening bioethics governance.
